Beloved,
Good news!
Our fledgling "Bucket
Ministry" is taking off!
Of course, there's always a dark
cloud for every ray of sunakaSonshine.
A silly rumor has come to me that it
takes $200 to fill one.
Geez.
It's like I sometimes say,
"Sometimes even I cannot believe what I'm quoted to have said."
Anyway, everything for the
buckets as noted on the "sticker" lists available in the narthex
and chapel runs about $40; and my favorite radio station founder and manager
says he and his wife filled two for $40!
Good shoppers!
Yeah, I guess you can buy work
gloves for $29.99 at LL Bean or Cabelas if you'd like; or Farm and Fleet or
WalMart or The Dollar Store for 99 coppers.
Flashlights are available with
batteries for $2.00!!!
So don't listen to those silly
rumors; which only discourage us from the great opportunity before us to live
and love in concert with Jesus concomitant to Matthew 25.
Still, I know $40 is a big sacrifice
in tough times like these. I'm scrounging pennies for gas these days and
just about everything else. But let's not let hyperbole get in the way of
the privilege to serve.
Blessings and Love!
P.S. If you need more specific help
in filling your bucket, go to www.belvpresbyterian.org
or www.bnnsradio.com! BTW, that
sounds metaphorical in a spiritual kinda way as in, "What's deep in the
well comes up in the bucket!"
