Beloved,
Mark your calendar!
The 16th Annual National Day of
Prayer Breakfast sponsored by Mayor Brereton will be on May 3 at 8:00 a.m. in
the Community Building (111 West 1st Street, Belvidere).
BMA (Belvidere Ministerial
Association) just reviewed the plans and our Lord will be honored as you are
inspired in a 2 Chronicles 7:14 kinda way.
Also, don't forget Big Thunder Park
prayer circle at noon on the same day!
Unfortunately, I will be in
Pennsylvania that day visiting my dad who has faced serious health
challenges. However, you know how I feel/believe about the priesthood of
all believers (go to www.bnnsradio.com
for a recap by going to the archive of the 4/15 service) and you and the many
other called/gifted pastors of Belvidere will help lead/inspire people
to... I trust you and them with enthusiasm!
Quick hits/gifts/opportunities:
1. BMA and Mayor Brereton with
director Nat Bauer and organist Mona Sorensen are deep into planning for this
year's patriotic to Jesus and His claim upon America worship service and
musical presentation (July 1, 10:00 a.m., at the
Community Building). The pastors of Belvidere who
love Jesus and love America enough to worship together as He would have it
and join together in blessing Him with repentant hearts and voices call
on you to be there and consider being a part of the choir! Rehearsals
are scheduled for our sanctuary on April 22 and May 20 (2:00 - 4:00
p.m.). If we really care about Christian unity and getting on our knees
in prayer and praise for the revival of America...
2. BTW, we're responsible for
ushers and greeters on July 1.
3. Habitat for Humanity will be
constructing another house on 909 North Main in Belvidere. You can
help! All skill levels accepted! For more information, call
815-980-6247.
4. Yo! Billy Flott and I need
your sponsorships for the Stronghold Benefit! The response so far
has been underwhelming. Go to www.belvpresbyterian.org
for more info. We're gonna be real embarrassed if... Also, please
pray for my health related to this. Frankly, I don't care about my health
in an eternal kinda way; but this is important to Stronghold and Billy.
And if you've ever wondered how
to pray perfectly, I'll
see you at 7 or 10 in the morning this Sunday.
Blessings and Love!
