Script #175

Mes Amis,

Our Lord is providing moment after moment after moment of extraordinary encounters/experiences with Him during worship services on the corner of Lincoln and Main as we get out of the way, yield, surrender, and increase our intimacy with Him in worship increasingly dedicated to one purpose: honoring Him.

As His flow increases as our intimacy increases and more folks find their way to our beacon for Jesus and safe haven for everybody, we have an opportunity to model Someone better in a world and worldly churches so corrupted by idolatries, selfish idiosyncrasies, and sins concomitant to Matthew 15 and 23.

We must increase our passion/persistence for inviting, welcoming, including, and agapeing.

Really loving folks means we don't want anyone to miss out!

My only sadness, and you may hear more about this on Sunday, is generated by His children who choose to miss out, hold old grudges that cause them to miss out, allow the devil to distract them and detour them to unGodly separation and segregation, or make up silly excuses as to why they cannot make room for...

Also, you will hear a lot about a confirmation from Him that occurred while...

Don't miss...

Don't forget to encourage others not to miss...

Blessings and Love!

Script #174

Happy Thanksgiving!!!

As Advent 1013 commences this Sunday, you will be a part of His continuing revival on the corner of Lincoln and Main that He is about to kick into overdrive!

Some very, very, very big kairos moments at both services with big celebrations at the second one.

Blessings and Love!

P.S. Our undershepherd, uh, moi, will report a powerful confirmation that occurred for us last Sunday concomitant to our services and His old-wineskin-cathedralized sojourn.

Script #173

1. I'm praying His best and warmest Thanksgiving ever for you!

2. There are two messages that I'd like to draw to your attention over the holiday via  One is "Fenced Tables" (11/22/13) and the other ("Attitude of Gratitude") will be posted before Wednesday.

3. Speaking of Wednesday, Mountaintop Cell(ular) Ministry for this Wednesday (11/27) will shift to 8:00 - 11:00 a.m. because of Thanksgiving stuff.  Sooooooo send in your praises, petitions, and supplications to or call 'em in via the shared prayer line (815-544-3535) by Tuesday.  Please note all Midweek ministries and opportunities, except MCM, will resume on December 4!

4. Frank sends his thanks to you for remembering him!  Jesus sends His thanks to you for remembering him/Him in a Matthew 25 kinda way!  See script 171 (below).  We have received enough $ to carry Frank through the second week in January.  Expecting he will proceed to trial a few months after that, we're still accepting your kindnesses for him/Him.

5. Renee Runyan, a faithful member who is a regular in our music ministries and VBS when home from college, has an opportunity through Olivet Nazarene University to participate in a missions trip to Costa Rica this summer (7/27-8/5, 2014).  The goal of the trip is church building - concrete and ministries with an emphasis on teaching children how to play instruments, run sound, and use audio-visuals in worship.  We are hoping to have Renee in worship on December 1 to tell us more about how we can support her!  That's this coming Sunday!

6. Speaking of this coming Sunday, Advent 2014 starts this Sunday!

7. Don't miss "Add a Little PEP" featuring Joe Pallikkathayil commencing December 6 (Fridays) from 11:15 - 11:30 a.m. on!

Again, Happy Thanksgiving!

Blessings and Love!

Script #172

1. Yesterday's worship service was heavy with the presence of our Lord's Holy Spirit as many reported and as...  Every part of our musical offerings - bells, chancel choir, and praise team - ushered our hearts into alignment with His.  Despite starting late due to tornado watches/warnings and losing track of time as we were lost in wonder, love, and praise - remembering David said "God inhabits the praises of His people" which happened! - it was one of those moments.  While nothing compares to the moment incarnationally, several folks have already asked me about it who were not able to attend because of the weather watches/warnings and the good news is you can go to and click on the archived version of yesterday's service and tap in to...

2. Speaking of, Joe Pallikkathayil, President of Presbyterian Elders in Prayer since founding over 31 years ago, will be heralding "Add a Little PEP" live every Friday from 11:15 to 11:30 a.m. commencing December 6.  Extraordinarily intimate with our Father, don't miss this opportunity to join Joe and go deeper into your relationship with Him and experience His joy!  Again, that's every Friday beginning December 6!  Just click on and...

3. Yesterday's tragic weather brought suffering and pain to many locations within reach of First's First Response Team.  We have already made contact to see if we can provide immediate relief to a sister congregation with our buckets; and we will alert you about the opportunity asap.  In the meantime, pray if you are called to deliver the buckets this week!  Tim, one of our main drivers, is away for the week in a very awesome sacrificial moment and I am committed to planning two of three memorial services within the past week.  Let us know!

4. Because of Wednesday's memorial service, Mountaintop Cell(ular) Ministry will change it's regularly scheduled time to 6:00 - 9:00 a.m. rather than noon - 3:00 p.m.  So get those requests in by Tuesday!

Blessings and Love!

Script #171

Frank, a member of our family of faith, has been incarcerated for six months with a trial to be scheduled in early 2014.

He has given permission to me to mention his name with his request which I am doing via this script in a Matthew 25 kinda way.

His current income is limited to a disability allowance of $129 a month.  With no savings and continuing bills, he has limited resources for making telephone calls to loved ones at 50-65 cents per minute and purchasing personal items.

Frank figures benevolent assistance of $10 a week will carry him through the trial and verdict.

If our Lord is nudging you to help Frank, please make your donations to the church and designate them for Frank; or if you would like to help directly, you can take cash or money orders to the Boone County Jail.

Also, Frank appreciates visitors and mail.

Just as we are expected to extend agape to everyone - as recently reflected in our call to reclaim rainbows - disagreeing with behaviors or suspecting innocence/guilt do not inhibit our active love as exemplified by Jesus: "As you do it to/for them, you do it to/for Me."

Blessings and Love!

Script #168

I've had several requests for reprints of the opening prayer on 11/3.  While I often have notes to remind myself of His guidance throughout the week preceding Sunday's opening prayer for both services, I don't have a "finished/polished/edited" version as if that's ever possible in prayer.

So here are some recollections from the notes:

Father, while our first citizenship is in Your Kingdom, we are Americans
who love this country and everything that it has stood for as a nation
under You.

Today, we are grieved to see it being ripped apart and falling apart by
ineptness, ignorance, and deception in the highest levels of federal
government; trickling down with its diseases on so many levels of
our society.

Trust has been broken with the people; as our modern technologies
allow us to see broken promises, blatant lies, extreme partisanship
from all parties, and a spirit flagging in the winds being blown by
those who do not know You and do not even think of You; allying
themselves with dark spirits who want to insult You and injure
Your people.

Indeed, as Paul announced so long ago as Jesus warned, they,
the evildoers, come in sheep's clothing, looking like they're on Your
side, slipping in like terrorist sleeper cells, and waiting for an
opportune time to expose themselves and attack to ravage
all semblances of holiness to You.

Jesus warned us.  He said they will lie like their real father.
They will confuse to detour and destroy.  They will replace
Godliness by the book with ideas, inventions, imaginings,
and other idolatries that lead to the nation's decline.

Yet, we know Your people are strong - armed with the
mightiest weapon for the battle: Jesus.

We have Jesus: "It is no longer I who live but it is Jesus
who lives in me."

So we are not afraid to take our country back just like
many authentic believers in America are taking their
churches back.

We are not afraid of darkness because we can salt to save
and shine to expose to salt to save.

We are not afraid of them - the forces of darkness and the
evil one itself - because He who is in us is greater than it
that is in the world.

We do not run in fear because the spirits of darkness flee
from us because we have invited Jesus into us.

We claim Your victory.

We sing Your praises.

Onward, we go, as Christian soldiers!...Satan's host doth
flee...Hell's foundations quiver at the shout of praise...

We join the salvation army around the world right now
right here; knowing the final score before the last
inning or quarter or whatever is played...

We know victory because when the spirits of darkness
attack, they are messing with our Father's children; and
He will not allow them to steal the souls that He has
saved through Jesus in whose name we pray.

Of course, you can listen to what was actually prayed by going to the archived version of the service via

If you missed it, music aligned our hearts with Him and His as we scratched the surface of Ephesians in an homiletical kinda way and raised praises and experienced glory and...
